Sheng publishes paper in PNAS

AEM Scholarship recipients announced

The department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics is pleased to announce the award of fifteen undergraduate scholarships. Top students are selected each year and recognized with a monetary gift. More info.

Photography exhibit featuring women engineers and scientists

AEM fluids faculty, Prof. Ellen Longmire, was recently included in the Inventive Women photography exhibit now featured at the Minnesota History Center. The exhibit, which will run through 2010, features the women faculty in the Institute of Technology. More info.

U of M students reveal results of experiments in 'near space' 

How do solar panels work in space? Can you inexpensively measure cosmic radiation? University of Minnesota students will answer these questions and share their findings from scientific experiments recently carried by a weather balloon to an altitude of more than 100,000 feet. More info.
